"Le Domaine de l'Espitalet"

The coastline

The coastline features many kilometers of fine sandy beaches. Many new beach resorts, all well-equipped for tourists, together with the pleasure-crafts ports and traditional resorts with their fishing ports, have enabled the Languedoc-Roussillon to become the second largest tourist region of France with five million visitors each year. The beach resorts of Narbonne-Plage, Gruissan and Saint-Pierre are just half an hour away from the Domaine de l'Espitalet.
Sandy beaches which are not overpopulated.

Another Côte d'Azur, surprisingly left intact.

Of course, concrete has also found its way to this coast, transforming inhospitable beaches into great tourist resorts and getting rid of once annoying mosquitos. However, for the numerous friends of preserved nature ample space subsists. In these areas you can feel free and isolate yourself from the rest of the world.

15400 hectares between land and sea. On the route of the lakes along the shore, the lagoons near Bages and Sigean are really unique. Obliged stop for birds of prey and migrating storks, this is an interesting place for the observation of birds like flamingos, herons and storks and also for the exploration of the specific vegetation. The best periods to observe a maximum of species are the first two weeks in April and from August 15 to September 15.
Sète and its naval joust are attracting many tourists every year.
